City Buffet Restaurant in Washington DC

They're just okay, well actually, less than that (hence the one star). The take-out option is quite expensive, the customer service is poor, and most of all, I don't believe the food is fresh. Everything tastes stale and "microwaved". Not that they microwave their food, but I mean in a sense of cooking food using a speedy method not allowing for proper techniques to be utilized. I've only eaten half...and I may throw the rest in the trash. I hate to discard food, but I think I have no other choice.

So many choices make this a tasty buffet style meal.

Small restaurant, food choices were small for a buffet, so large groups are a no go. Not many vegetable choices, I expected more for the price. A plus is the drinks are included.

Over priced, poor service and not great a selection.

Not sure why there's so many low ratings for this place. Drink included in price, quiet, clean, average choice, staff friendly. I'd visit again.

Cheap all you can eat Chinese. Had to get my own drink but it's exactly what I wanted. Fried rice was awful

Worst customer service ever, they refused to allow me to use my samsung pay and told me to leave that they are busy while yelling at me. This is 2017 for someone not to know what is samsung pay in downtown DC

Great food

Food is decent buffet. Order fresh or get there during peak hours so it's not stale.

Hell nah, don't yall dare to go there. I walk in and walk right out automatically. Trust me, unless you want to spend your night on the toilet for the rest of the night, go right ahead. No joke, this place is dirty and smelly. Keep walking to another place. Thank me later.

They where closed when we went in the middle of the day.

The price was reasonable, the food was decent, and the tables were clean. There area near the drinks needed a carpet cleaning really badly.

The most important thing to see when you go to a Chinese buffet, fresh food! And they nailed it on my visit. Didn't see anything that looked like it had been sitting out for a while. Tasty, quick, recommend.

Tasteless food, crappy service

The food was very good and the price was nice. Our family of five left full! Highly recommend if you are taking a family with kids.

The food is not fresh ..they won't put out fresh food the wait till every morsel is gone before they decide to bring warm food. The cat is not fresh thw mice is salty and the dog is chewy.

I like the place facing 14th Street and the food is okay plus the ice cream variety. The people running it seem genuine though one cashier is a snotty smartass and some patrons are trailer trash. $11 lunch wow.

Fried rice was gross, the fried fish was disgusting, and everything else was subpar. We arrived at 6pm on a Monday and there was barely any food in the trays and they didn't replenish it. The only thing I actually enjoyed was the sweet and sour chicken with the sauce. Staff was friendly but absent. I had to get my own drink refills. It really could be better if they cared to try.

Good place for having Chinese buffet at good price ( 12.50 $ per person ) and it's included for food , drink , desert ...

Pretty much a typical Chinese buffet, no memorable menu items. They did have a variety of options to fill your stomach at a cheap price. When you are craving it, it'll hit the spot.

It's all you can eat cheap Chinese food - it's not amazing, but it's not terrible. Big lunch crowd.

The buffet is on the small side. But don't get hung up about how many different dishes are available, the choices were very good. Definitely a place that I'd be stopping by again.

Not bad. $10.45 for all you can eat Chinese food plus a drink. Not the best buffet I've been to but not bad at all, I mean you're going to a Chinese buffet, don't expect a gourmet experience.
